Susan Chamberlin

president & CEO, Warhawk Fund

 

Susan Chamberlin is the president and CEO of Warhawk Fund, an early-stage investment fund. She also serves on the boards of the Joseph Campbell Foundation and Kenwood Golf and Country Club in Bethesda, MD. She is a former trustee and current leadership instructor at the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS). Previously, Susan served as Vice President for Government Affairs at the Cato Institute, a public policy research center in Washington, D.C. and Director, principal gifts at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business from where she earned her MBA. Susan earned her law degree from Wake Forest University and BS in Industrial Psychology from the University of Maryland.

Lisa J. Fall

CEO, box digital markets & BSTX

Lisa J. Fall, Esq. is Chief Executive Officer of BOX Digital Markets LLC and Boston Security Token Exchange LLC, both formed in 2018. Lisa is also President and Chief Legal Officer of BOX Exchange LLC, BOX Holdings Group LLC, and BOX Options Market LLC, and has been with BOX since May 2006.

As Chief Executive Officer of BOX Digital Markets, Lisa was instrumental in the formation of the company, which is engaged in creating and developing markets for trading digital assets in a regulated environment. Lisa is also Chief Executive Officer of BSTX, which was created as a joint venture between BOX Digital Markets and tZERO to become the world’s first regulated exchange for trading security tokens.

As President of BOX Exchange, Lisa’s primary responsibilities are ensuring the regulatory compliance of the entire organization, developing organizational plans and policies, working with the Board of Directors and SEC to ensure regulatory compliance for BOX and Participants, and managing all aspects of corporate governance for BOX Exchange. As President of BOX Options Market, she is responsible for developing a strategic plan to advance the company’s mission and objectives and overseeing company operations to ensure regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.

In her roles as Chief Legal Officer of BOX Exchange, BOX Holdings, and BOX Options Market, Lisa’s primary responsibilities are providing legal guidance to BOX management and the Boards of Directors, facilitating communications with the SEC, and managing all aspects of corporate governance. 

Prior to joining BOX, Lisa worked for Fidelity Investments in the areas of Trading, Legal, and Risk.  She also served on the NASDAQ OMX BX BOXR Board of Directors from 2008 to 2012.  Lisa has a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Political Philosophy from Syracuse University and a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School.

William Easley

Vice Chairman, box holdings group

William Easley has been with BOX since its inception, joining as Project Manager in September 2001, and is presently Vice Chairman of the BOX Holdings Group LLC and BOX Options Market LLC Boards of Directors, and a member of the BOX Digital Markets LLC Board of Directors. Prior to BOX, he worked as a consultant for the Montréal Exchange (2000-01), and Euronext SA in Paris (1997-2000), concentrating on the transfer of floor-based markets to an automated trading environment in Asia, South America and Canada, as well as in Europe. From 1987 until 1996, William ran an options market making and index arbitrage group in Paris, trading primarily on the Monep and Matif. Prior to this, he worked as an internal auditor and commercial artist. William has also lectured at Vanderbilt University in the Managerial Studies Program. He holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from McGill University (Montreal) and a BA in Political Science and History from Vanderbilt University (Nashville).

Steve Hopkins

President, tzero

Steve Hopkins joined tZERO as President in January 2019 from Medici Ventures where he had worked as COO and General Counsel since 2016. He is an experienced executive with extensive experience in blockchain, cryptocurrency, and software businesses, including Medici Ventures, MasterControl, Beckstrand and Associates, and Edwards Lifesciences. Steve is currently focused on building out the business side of tZERO’s operations including the company’s primary issuance business, crypto exchange and retail broker-dealer.

Saum Noursalehi

CEO, tZero

Saum Noursalehi is the CEO of tZERO, a global leader in the development and commercialization of blockchain-based financial technology. As CEO, Saum’s focus is on accelerating the implementation of tZERO’s fintech products, including its Security Token Trading and Digital Locate Receipt platforms, as well as the creation of the industry’s first regulated Security Token exchange.

Prior to this role, Saum served as president of Overstock’s retail business, where he leveraged data and technology to provide customers the best price, assortment, and convenience in the rapidly expanding home goods category. Saum is also a member of Overstock’s Board of Directors, to which he was elected in 2017.

During his tenure as Overstock’s president, Saum led the introduction of machine learning and artificial intelligence to create market-leading efficiencies while also providing customers with a personalized shopping experience.

Saum has also been responsible for the creation of several other core technologies for Overstock since joining the company in 2005. These advancements include in-house search and recommendation engines, product sort algorithms, and a vendor application designed to optimize product content. He also spearheaded the implementation of automated email campaigns based on customer behavior. Additionally, he led a full redesign of both the desktop and mobile websites, and oversaw the development of Overstock's mobile apps, which have won six consecutive Mobile Web Awards from the Web Marketing Association, as well as the 2018 Appy for Best Retail App.

Before joining Overstock, Saum worked as a software engineer at the Utah Administrative Office of the Courts, Brooks Automation, and technology startup Infopia. Saum received a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Utah, has been profiled in publications such as Wired, and was a recipient of the 2015 Utah Business Forty Under 40 award honoring Utah's top up-and-coming professionals.
